Osamu Tezuka's Buddha - The Great Departure

Prince Siddhartha is heir to the Shakya kingdom. Although his father has tried to raise him as a warrior leader, when he witnesses the suffering of men, he revolts against the injustice in the world and embarks on a spiritual journey that he will complete to become Buddha. Taken from Osamu Tesuka’s manga, the film tells the story of the first part of Buddha’s life.
